This elegant destination wedding took place at InterContinental Koh Samui Resort, one of the island’s most scenic luxury venues overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. The celebration combined meaningful Chinese wedding traditions, a breathtaking cliffside ceremony and a relaxed sunset reception by the beach villas.
The wedding day began with a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony attended by close family members and friends. This intimate part of the celebration was filled with genuine emotions, respect for family traditions and joyful moments shared between generations. Capturing these interactions created one of the most meaningful parts of the wedding story.
Later, guests gathered at the resort’s panoramic ceremony venue located beside the famous Air Bar. With uninterrupted ocean views and soft tropical light, the location provided a spectacular backdrop for exchanging vows while keeping the atmosphere elegant and intimate.
After the ceremony we spent around twenty minutes creating relaxed sunset portraits around the private pier. Although the couple described themselves as shy in front of the camera, gentle posing guidance helped them feel comfortable very quickly. Rather than focusing on complicated poses, we encouraged natural movement and interaction, resulting in authentic and elegant portraits.
The wedding reception took place on the lawn near the Beach Villas at InterContinental Koh Samui. As darkness fell, warm lighting transformed the venue into a romantic outdoor celebration. Family speeches, laughter and energetic dancing created an unforgettable atmosphere before the evening finished with a spectacular fireworks display over the sea.
One of the highlights of the reception was the incredible energy of the couple’s friends. The dance floor stayed full throughout the evening, creating countless spontaneous moments that perfectly reflected the joyful spirit of the celebration.
