In most cases, the best solution is a hotel, villa or small resort with convenient beach access. The hotel may charge a location fee or require you to use their own event team for the decoration.

Some of Koh Samui’s small hidden beaches can become extremely narrow or almost completely disappear during high tide. And sometimes the only reliable way to understand the actual conditions is to visit the location shortly before the proposal.

You may have the perfect location planned, but on the day itself you could struggle to reach it independently — or arrive and discover that the beautiful little beach you expected is underwater.
