MyWed Best of the Year: Koh Samui Wedding Photo
10 February 2023I have good news today! My photo is included in Best of the year on MyWed!
A Koh Samui Wedding Photo in MyWed Best of the Year
This photograph from a wedding in Koh Samui was included in the MyWed Best of the Year selection.
For a wedding photographer, recognition is always meaningful, but what matters most to me is that the photograph was created during a real wedding day rather than specifically for a competition. It began as a genuine moment between real people and later received recognition within the international wedding photography community.
MyWed brings together professional wedding photographers from around the world and has been an important photography platform throughout my career. Having photographs recognised there is something I value because they are seen alongside the work of photographers from many different countries and styles.
More Than a Beautiful Location
Koh Samui gives photographers incredible scenery — beaches, tropical greenery, villas, mountains and changing light — but a strong wedding photograph needs more than a beautiful background.
The photographs I remember most are usually built around a real moment: an expression, an unexpected reaction, movement, light or a small detail that happens only once. The location supports the photograph, but the people and the emotion give it meaning.
That philosophy continues to shape the way we photograph weddings today. We look for natural moments throughout the day while also creating elegant portraits when the light and timeline allow it.

My work has appeared in MyWed selections over the years, alongside other international wedding photographers. These recognitions are part of a longer professional journey that includes wedding photography competitions, publications, exhibitions and photography conferences.

Wedding Photography in Koh Samui
Awards and selections are valuable, but they are not the purpose of photographing a wedding. The real responsibility is to create a complete story that the couple and their family will still want to return to many years later.
For couples planning a destination wedding in Thailand, you can see more complete wedding stories and learn about our approach on the Koh Samui wedding photographer page.
